CAPITAL CAMPAIGN VISUAL IDENTITY DESIGN

Marguerite’s Place is The Place for Possibility

Marguerite’s Place is a nonprofit that supports families on their path to safety, stability, and independence through transitional housing for women and children, early childhood education, and holistic, community-based programs. They reached out seeking visual identity and design exploration for their capital campaign.

The capital campaign aimed to raise over $8 million to construct new transitional apartments, expand their child care center, and increase community programs—all with the singular goal of helping more families to build brighter futures. Through our work together, they gained a cohesive visual identity system, along with supporting collateral and customizable fundraising templates.

The Visual System

The cornerstone of this campaign was the new building, which represented a myriad of possibilities – stability, safety, care, hope – for families. Our goal for the campaign’s design was to inspire people to give by creating a visual system that balanced safety and stability with optimism and hope. The campaign came to life through a handwritten gestural typeface, accompanying handwritten swashes and shapes, and a bold color palette anchored by Marguerite’s Place primary greens. To set this campaign up for fundraising longevity, Visual Guidelines were created to empower the client to create graphics and communicate with this visual system themselves.

A CAMPAIGN OF POSSIBILITY

Drawing together warmth and optimism

Handdrawn shapes act as content containers to create a sense of approachability and family-centered humanity. Custom icons were created to support the campaign’s three interconnected pillars, visually linking the unique and holistic set of services offered by Marguerite’s Place. A custom, repeatable typographic pattern to illustrate the endless possibilities was also created.

HANDDRAWN ELEMENTS

A Printed & Digital Suite of Materials

With the visual identity system, we created a one pager, brochure, folder, and campaign merch. In addition, we created a suite of fundraising materials including a presentation deck, proposal template, and letterhead.

FUNDRAISING TOOLS

Custom Landing Page and Microsite

We also created a digital presence for the campaign. A single landing page was created initially to ensure the campaign could launch at a certain date. Afterwards, the full microsite was created, which houses an overview of the campaign and a call to donate. It also features pages dedicated to Marguerite’s Place, the new building’s features, and additional ways to get involved.
